Summer reminds us that we can exist outdoors, too.

As much as we love a good indoor hobby (because most sewing projects are not improved by wind), there’s something about a warm Friday evening in the summer that makes you want a little more from your plans.

Not just dinner.
Not just a class.
Something in between.

The Night Out is an all-inclusive Friday evening built around handwork, exceptional food, and the kind of conversations that happen more easily when everyone already has something in common.

This experience is intentionally intimate: just 4 guests per evening, with only 3 Night Outs offered all summer (two in July, one in August). Each evening includes a different restaurant, making every night feel a little distinct.

The night begins at Approved Textiles with drinks, a generous snack spread, and a two-hour Bojagi + Patchwork workshop led by Matthew.

Whether you come alone or with a friend, making together has a way of doing what awkward small talk never quite can.

After class, we’ll head to one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants for a fully included dinner. Expect a rotating mix of James Beard-recognized chefs, beloved neighborhood staples, and the kinds of places that remind you why Philadelphia’s food scene has the reputation it does.
