Nui Shibori: A Crunchy Fall Painting Workshop

Ali Dworsack of Camilla Mustard is back in the shop, and this time we’re trading paintbrushes for needle and thread.

Nui Shibori is hand-stitch resist dyeing at its best—part meditative stitching, part chaotic surprise. You’ll stitch your silk, pull the threads tight, and watch the fabric remember every fold and gather in the dye bath. The results? Crunchy, textured, unpredictable—like fall itself.

No experience needed. Just curiosity, a love of color, and maybe a sweater that can handle a little splash.

All materials are included, and you’ll leave with your own 24” x 24” silk piece—something between a bandana, a painting, and a beautiful accident.
