A handstitch class that teaches slow, sensible repair and beautiful surface work. We’ll show you kantha’s gentle running stitch, how layered cloth becomes a quilt or a durable patch, and how simple motifs—paisley, vines, little stars—turn into texture.
This two-hour session covers tools, fabric prep, and finishing tricks so you leave with a finished kantha patch or pouch and the confidence to keep going at home.
All materials are included: pre-layered practice cloth, needles, threads, and a one-page resource guide. We honor kantha’s origins in Bangladesh and eastern India and teach with respect for that tradition—practice that’s meant to repair, celebrate material reuse, and make things last. Small class size for hands-on help.
The cost of this class includes all materials and reflects our commitment to paying our instructors a living wage. 2-hour classes are 136.00.
Class Exchange Policy
We’re happy to move your booking to a different date for the same class, as long as we hear from you more than 48 hours before class begins. Just email us at inquiry@approved-textiles.com, and we’ll take care of it.
If your request comes in less than 48 hours before class starts, we won’t be able to reschedule you—but we can offer you 50% off your next booking for the same class.
We know life happens. This policy helps us keep our small class sizes sustainable for our shop, our teachers, and our community. Thanks for understanding.
