Tune Up____10.27.26 (11 AM to 1 PM)

Like all practices, consistency is key. We're so glad you joined us for Practical Hand Sewing Basics in the Spring, now we want to help honing in on the skills we've begun to develop so that you can build even more repetition, familiarity, and muscle memory in your work.

In this two hour workshop we're calling "Tune Up" for short, we want to build a space where we can check-in and make ourselves available for the application of the stitches, knots, tools, and tune up skills introduced in Practical Hand Sewing Basics:

• Knotless or backstitch knots
• Some classes didn't get to buttons, whip stitches, or blanket stitches (let's do it!)
• Applying specific stitches to current projects
• Hand tension, fabric puckering, and dropped stitches

If you bring in your completed sampler from the class in the Spring we'll give you a free skein of sashiko thread or beeswax, your choice!

Course Prerequisite 

This in-person workshop is only offered to students who have already completed Practical Hand Sewing Basics in an earlier cycle. 

Class Exchange Policy

This class is 15.00. Please sign up for the date for which you have definite confirmation. If you need to reschedule your reservation for any reason, we will give you first sign up priority for the Winter cycle. We anticipate this class will fill up quickly and will therefore not be able to switch you into another Tune Up within our Fall offering.
