This is handwork as care work—and care work as resistance.

Join us live on Tuesday, July 22 from 6–8 PM EST for a gentle and practical introduction to visible mending. Together, we’ll slow down and stitch through foundational mending techniques: how to reinforce, patch, and beautify worn or damaged clothing by hand. No sewing machine needed.

We’ll stitch. We’ll talk. We’ll hold space for the deep roots of this tradition—from Japanese sashiko and Bengali kantha to Appalachian patching, European darning, and beyond. You’ll walk away with skills, tools, and a different way of seeing your wardrobe.

Whether you’ve never threaded a needle or you’ve been mending for years, this class will meet you where you are.

🧵 What’s Included:

  • A 2-hour live virtual class via Google Meet
  • One Visible Mending Transfer Pack of your choice
  • Coordinated thread + scrap fabric bundle in your chosen color tone
  • A PDF guide to support your practice at home
  • A recording of the session is available for 30 days after class
  • U.S. shipping included

📦 About the Transfer PacksEach pack contains four printed designs on a wood-pulp fabric stabilizer that acts like a sticker. Just press the design onto your garment, stitch through it, and wash it away when you're done. It’s soft, water-soluble, and completely plastic-free.
