In this class, we'll use simple hand stitching techniques to embellish a large, handloom woven matka silk shawl (or scarf). We'll look at some decorative arts reference books and talk about options for adding beading, mother of pearl buttons, sashiko embroidery, and fabric appliqué to create a scarf that reflects your personality.
