In this class, we’ll explore the art of mending using our custom-designed transfers, featuring designs inspired by Philadelphia icons like the Eagles and Gritty, as well as artists and visionaries like Anohni, Dolly Parton, and Agnes Martin.
Unlike traditional sashiko, which focuses on structured geometric stitches, this class introduces a flexible approach to visible mending. Using our water-soluble, wood pulp-based transfers as stitching guides, you’ll learn how to stabilize fabric, incorporate layered patchwork, and experiment with textures and colors to create a one-of-a-kind repair. Whether you're covering a tear, reviving an old favorite, or simply making a statement, this method lets you embrace mending as an art form.
