In this detail-oriented class, we’ll slow down and focus on the kind of hand-sewn finishing that elevates any garment—starting with the buttonhole. You’ll learn how to mark, cut, and stitch a classic-style buttonhole by hand, plus a few finishing techniques tailors use to keep seams tidy and strong.

If you’ve taken Intro to Hand Stitching for Clothing & Repair, this class is a natural next step. And if you’re craving a deeper relationship to your garments and tools, it’s a chance to build confidence, dexterity, and delight in the details.

You’ll leave with a stitched sample card, a few new tricks up your sleeve, and all the materials you need to keep practicing at home.
